The customer's world has become more rapid
The amount of data that needs to be transferred and processed is constantly increasing. This trend sets the development of mobile application technologies and interface bar to new heights. According to Timo Makkonen, CEO of Congrid Oy, expectations for data speed and real-time access have advanced a lot in ten years.
"When we founded Congrid in 2013, real-time meant that information generally moves between a computer and a phone. Today, the information needs to be transferred between different users and devices at the same moment it is submitted," Makkonen describes the customer's perception of speed.
New CongridLITE® is the first step toward accelerating data flow
CongridLITE®, used by main contractors and numerous subcontractors working on the same project, is the free version of Congrid software for subcontractors.
"More than 80% of Finland's largest construction companies use Congrid and more than 10,000 contractors and site managers actively use the application every month. This launch will positively affect all users' daily work at the hectic construction sites by providing a smoother and faster user experience", Makkonen describes the significance of the change.
Congrid Oy's product manager Saku Vuori emphasizes that new technologies like React Native and their development bring their requirements to the table.
"The new application enables shorter data loading times, regardless of different information inputs happening simultaneously. The app also does not need to be active for data transfer. Fewer clicks needed, the better", Vuori describes the benefits of the upcoming update and improved usability.

"Clear". "Reliable". "Simple". That's how construction professionals described Congrid software in the user satisfaction survey conducted in the spring of 2022. On a scale of five, the overall rating was more than four. Despite good reviews and feedback, Congrid always looks into opportunities how to improve it further.
